Our beautiful Button Jointed Keepsake Koala is our most popular design. It's the perfect design to treasure those baby clothes you can't bring yourself to part with. Add a little extra nostalgia to your Keepsake by having it weighted to your little ones Birth weight. Our keepsakes can hold up to 8.5lbs in weight.

Choose a selection of your favourites, check out the clothing tab to ensure you send enough items base on the size you choose. If you are sending premature or tiny baby sizes you will need to send a few extras to be sure we have enough. You can always send us instructions of which clothes to use first and we will do our best to include them as you wish.

Sizes

The weighted Koala is available in 2 different sizes, Standard - approx. 28-30cms from its sitting position we recommend 5-7 items of baby clothes. Large - approx. 33-35cms from its sitting position, we recommend 8-10 items of baby clothes.

Birthweights over 7.5lbs will need to be the large size.

Quantity

All Keepsake Bears and animals are stuffed with polyester Fibre. Do not machine wash your keepsake, sponge clean ONLY. As they are made from your pre-loved clothing they can not be CE tested and therefore come with the following warning: This is for Display Only and is not suitable for persons under the age of 14 years. Birth weighted Keepsakes needs to be held supporting its bottom (like you would a baby) and not held by the arms and legs, this is to stop unnecessary stress on the button jointed limbs. The number of baby clothes suggested is based on the assumption that the sizes will be 0-6 months. If they are smaller in size its best to provide a couple more items to ensure we have enough to work with. Consider which clothes were your favourites or the ones that hold those special memories. The first outfit they wore, their coming home outfit or just that special sleepsuit you always put them in. Please let us know which items you most definitely would want us to include in the design. We can work with most items from vests and sleepsuits, to t-shirts and dresses but we do struggle with chunky or open weave knits. We do carefully interface all fabrics to help stabilise the fabrics but please be advised that the more variation of fabrics you provide the less uniformed your keepsake may look. If you are unsure as to whether an item can be used please contact us and we can advise you further. Offcuts are kept for a little while after in the even they are needed unless you request they get sent back with your completed keepsake. Otherwise they will be recycled at our local charity shops.
Once you have placed your order, you'll receive an email confirming which date you have are placed on our waiting list and where to send the clothes to. We would suggest you send your precious items of clothing by a tracked service for peace of mind.

You will receive confirmation from us as to when they have been received. Once work has begun on your keepsake you will receive regular updates, please keep an eye out for any additional information we might require from you. If you have any special requests or additions you like added then we may be in touch to ask for additional payments to make these.

No 2 keepsakes will be the same due to the nature of the fabrics provided.

Delivery

Your Keepsake will returned to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery or Courier. This is to ensure your precious keepsakes are fully tracked and insured. Postage is worked our based on the weight/value at checkout.
When ordering you will be placed on a waiting list basis as displayed on our website. Once we have received your order you will receive confirmation as to when you have you booked in.

If you need to cancel your order please get in touch as soon as possible. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your date a refund may not be given, it may just be a case of moving you further along the waiting list if you require more time to get the clothes together. We understand it may be a difficult time for you to part with your sentimental items of clothing and we will work closely with you to get the best possible outcome for everyone.

Please note that there is a variation into how your keepsake may look, no two keepsakes will be the same due to the nature of the fabrics used.

If you are unhappy with your order for any reason then please get in touch straight away.

We cannot accept personalised items back unless they are faulty.
Our current turnaround time is 4-6 weeks from the start date you are provided when ordering. Multiple Keepsakes may take slightly longer.

We currently work on a waiting list basis, this means I only have your items of clothing for as long as necessary rather than up to 20 weeks like some of our competitors.

As we progress through making your bespoke keepsake we will provide you with generic updates, if you would like photo updates specific to your order please let us know.
